Description
In 1939 students working for the National Youth Administration, a New Deal program started by FDR to help keep high school and college students by giving them paid work, constructed the Stone Lodge. The Stone Lodge sits in the middle of UNA's campus today. Originally, the building was constructed as a student union of sorts for student leisure and recreational activities. Over the years it has been used by the band, several clubs, and the SGA for various meetings. In 1996, It was again used as a student recreation center. Today, the lodge is used by clubs and organizations as a meeting place.
