Craig Building Supply began on February 1, 1978. James T. Craig was the owner. Craig had worked at a local lumber company in Limestone County for 19 years. He purchased Boyd & Boyd Building Materials from Carlos Boyd. Craig Building Supply began with only three employees, then steadily grew to 15 employees through the year. The company is now Persell Lumber, located on North Clinton Street in Athens, AL.
