Description

Wendell Wilkie Gunn was the first African-American student to enroll at the University of North Alabama. He was also the first African-American student to earn a degree from UNA. Gunn went on to work in banking and became the vice president for Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. Gunn completed an oral history interview with UNA Public History students in the fall of 2013.
