He mentions 4th of July celebrations at West Point and that he wants money to travel to New York soon. His mentor, Gen. Lane, will be traveling to Georgia and staying with his family. He also writes of Gen. Lane's disillusionment with the U.S. Presidential race. 3 handwritten pages.
