Description
An account of the resource
This three-page handwritten letter, including envelope, is indicative of the illiteracy of the unknown author. It is a simple letter chronicling how God can heal wounds of the flesh and of the heart and spirit. She expresses hope that Caroline will visit in the summer months. Sometimes illegible, the note indicates the presence of a house slave.

An account of the resource
Louisa wrote to Pierce to share news about family and friends. She commented on her appreciation for her friends welcoming her back home but explained that they seem tame after spending so time much time sojourning in the company of the "fast people" of the West. She mentioned their brothers Robert and George, and a wedding invitation. She asked PMB for his opinion about her marrying Tom. She enclosed "pin money" in the letter and sent best wishes. 1 handwritten envelope and 4 handwritten pages.

An account of the resource
Tom Jones writes to Kate telling her is suffering from pneumonia and is tired because he has been caring for other sick patients the past week. He hopes she still loves him and wishes to get married; he still madly loves her and hopes to hear the status of their marriage soon.
