Eighteen members of the community lost their lives. The downtown's major businesses, resturants, police and fire departments, and town hall were destroyed. The Wrangler plant, which employed many Hackleburg residents was devestated by the storm. These oral history interviews, conducted by UNA Public History students help explore the damage the storms caused but also the community's ability to come together in the wake of the destruction of their town.
